The full timeline of our Quranic Arabic program.

Where 'Understand: 6' is placed along the program:

Curriculum:

In Level 6, you will be covering 7 units.

You will learn the specific forms of detail words, as well as different types of ‘waw’ and their uses. You will also be introduced to common irregulars, which are words that do not follow the typical family patterns, and advanced adjectives. Previously, we learned all about the science of ‘Sarf’, and how words follow a pattern and can be transformed into other words. Now, in level 6, you will cover ‘non-sarfable words’.

Understand: levels 1-5 have prepared you for this level, by laying a stable foundation of the Arabic language, and the science of Sarf. Now we’re at the pointy end of the UQA journey, and our focus is on some more complicated parts of Quranic Arabic. Level 6 will test the strength of your foundational knowledge, and round it out by the end, insha’Allah.

Course length:

There are 7 lessons altogether:

  • 7 two-hour lectures on the course materials
  • Recordings are available in full, or broken down into bite-sized lessons for easier understanding

*Recommended course completion time: Level 6 will take approximately 1 month to complete if you spend 20 minutes a day. Alternatively, you can complete all units in 20 hours, with time spent on homework and revision.
