Curriculum:

Reading the Quran takes 4 things:

1. Pronunciation

2. Practice

3. Identification

4. Recitation

This order is very important. We will focus on pronunciation first, then practicing that pronunciation and eventually identifying each letter in Arabic. Rules of Quranic recitation come later.

Course length:

  • 20+ lessons and 20+ hours of content
  • Each lesson is broken down into bite-sized lessons for easier understanding

Prerequisites:

No prerequisites!

We're starting from the very beginning of the Arabic language. Anyone can join in!

Materials required:

  • A notebook and pen
  • An internet connection
  • A computer / phone / tablet, with a working speaker


Students receive:

  • Every recording
  • All materials used by the instructor

What comes after level 1?

Let’s Recite the Quran Level 2:

In level 2, we will continue to work on our pronunciation of the Arabic alphabet. Especially those tricky letters that are unique to Arabic.

What if I can already read Arabic?

Understanding Quranic Arabic (UQA):

In UQA, we focus on Understanding 80% of the Quran in 3 months.

    The classes are all pre-recorded, so you can complete the course in your own time, at your own pace.

  • Is there an age requirement?

    We've had students from ages 8-70+ in our courses and they've all enjoyed it and benefited. We recommend children under 10 take the class with an adult.

  • I am fluent in reading, but cannot pronounce the letters. Where should I start?

    Start with the first few Alphabet classes of Learn to Read Quran: Level 1, until you're comfortable with the pronunciations, and then move on to Let's Recite the Quran: Level 2 & 3.

  • Do you do 1-on-1 tutoring?
